Michelle Yap took a deeply conceptual route in her artwork inspired by the Recomposition theme. Her piece reflects the emotional layers of life — moments torn, reshaped, and brought back together to form something entirely new. Through the juxtaposition of structure and abstraction, her work mirrors the process of fragmenting and reforming, much like the surface designs within our product innovations.
About Michelle Yap
Michelle Yap is a Malaysian contemporary abstract artist based in Kuala Lumpur. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, London, and Style Design College, Milan, she is known for bold, expressive brushwork that fuses Oriental influences with modern abstract expression. Working mainly in acrylic, ink, and mixed media, her themes often explore daily life, motivation, and cultural fusion, most notably in her Terracotta Warriors series.
